Fraxel’s laser technology creates increased heat during the treatment. To help make the treatment more comfortable, we will apply a topical anesthetic prior to the procedure, and cold air is used throughout. Many patients describe a sunburn feeling after the treatment, which generally subsides within a few hours.
Immediately after the treatment, you will experience redness and possible burning/irritation. Our Fraxel® specialist will provide you with complete aftercare instructions when you come in for your treatment.
